It's been a period of mixed fortunes for the Club in the Union League in the past two weeks.
On Thursday May 30th the team came up against a particularly strong Otley side playing on their home turf. Across the eight matches there was just one win, by Team Captain Will Caldecott in the singles and consolation for The Men's Captain and the Pro who halved their game at the top of the pairs.
It was however a completely different story on Thursday June 6th at home to Skipton who were playing their first fixture against Pannal having recently joined the Harrogate Union. Jason Taylor and Will Eardley won their matches in the singles with Simon Walker and Will Caldecott both securing halves. In the pairs there was a 3-1 overall result with wins for David Everingham & Martin Padgett, Tom Page & Callum Macnair and David Smith & Tom Booth.
Captain Caldecott described this result as "a great win, securing 12 match points" after the disappointment against Otley. The next match is a home fixture against Thirsk & Northallerton.
